He is Olauwaforijimi “Jimmy” Adewale Amu. DJ Jimmy Jatt is known as one of the pioneering Nigerian Djs, who had refused to rest on his oars. His interest in production of music and DJing piqued after the long years of trying to be signed on a record Label as a rapper. When he could not get a deal, he decided to be a DJ. He organizes a concert ‘ Jimmy’s Jump Off concert’. Jimmy Jatt won the Hip Hop World Hall of Fame award as a result of his contribution to Nigerian Hip-hop. Despite being a DJ, he had used the opportunity to release some of his raps.
2. Dj Xclusive:
He is Rotimi Alakija, a producer of music who had been working as a Dj since 2003. He is a Dj as well as a record producer and a recording artist. He won the World Best Dj at an award organized by Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In his years as a DJ, he had performed with great artists like Brick and Lace, Ne-Yo, Mario Winans, Fat Joe, and Nas.
3. Dj Neptune:
He is Imohisen Patrick. He started out as professional Dj in 2001 and got hired by Ray power 100:5 FM Lagos. There, he worked for 6 years (2004-2010). In 2008, he became the Disk jockey/hype man for Naeto C. He has performed in several notable occasions like 2007 Starcomms Award Channel of Excellence at the Expo Hall, Eko Hotel& Suites. He was the Prize winner at the Battle of Dee Jay for Nigerian Breweries “Harp New Bottle& Label’ at Planet One, Mary Land, Lagos.
4. Dj Cuppy:
She is Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola. In 2014, she became the resident DJ at the esteemed Mtv Africa Music Award which took place at Durban. She released her very first compilation, which she mixed and called it House of Cuppy. In 2016, she became an intern at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. In 2014, she was made an ambassador for Nigeria’s campaign, ‘ Fascinating Nigeria’, by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation (Edem Duke). Also, in 2015, she won the best Female Dj in NEA Awards. She is respected and famed despite being a female Dj.
