Enugu Youths Coalition has congratulated the Executive Governor of Enugu
State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on the occasion of Nigeria's Democracy Day
celebration as well as the third anniversary of his administration in the
State.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of the coalition, Dr.
Edwin Obune, the group noted that apart from the massive infrastructural &
human developments in the state which cuts across all sectors of public
life, the governor has accomplished what none of his predecessors had
achieved in the area of peace.
Because of his humane, articulate and responsible style of governance,
Enugu State is now the most peaceful state in Nigeria. This was why after
President Muhammadu Buhari signed a bilateral trade agreement with the
government of Morocco last year, the first state to be visited by some
Moroccan investors for the purpose of establishing fertilizer blending
plant in Nigeria was Enugu State.
According Mr. Caleb Usoh, Nigeria's manager of 'OCP Africa,' a
Morocco-based world-class producer and exporter of phosphate rock and
phosphoric acid said: ''The peaceful, secure and friendly investment
atmosphere of Enugu State made the firm to chose it as one of the states to
invest in the fertilizer business.''
Mr. Usoh further stated that the company was attracted to Enugu State
because of the investment drive of the governor and the infrastructural
developments in the state.''
It is also a miracle that Enugu State is still a peaceful state despite
being in the mood for the 2019 general elections.
Therefore, we are using this platform to congratulate the 'people's
governor' for delivering on his campaign promises to Ndi-Enugu without
rancor and acrimony.
We also urge the indigenes of state as well as other residents of the city
to continue to show their unalloyed supports and solidarity to the governor
through their usual prayers and peaceful conducts.
We also enjoin them to ensure that by this time next year, we will all
gather at the Michael Okpara Square Enugu for another inauguration ceremony
for Gburugburu.
Signed:
Dr. Edwin Obune,
National Coordinator,
Enugu Youths Coalition
